Mexico Beach, Florida
Get ready to make some memories!
Leave your hectic life and your worries behind in this small town, which has no traffic lights and fewer cars. Our beaches are uncrowded, even in the summer. The family-friendly atmosphere has earned Mexico Beach the nickname, “Mayberry on the Water.”
Spend your day relaxing on the beach. Take a leisurely stroll and collect shells. Watch the shore birds without even leaving your beach chair. You might even see a pod of dolphins swimming offshore so hopefully you packed your binoculars. Stroll up the street to the family-run fish market, buy some locally caught snapper or grouper, and grill it up for dinner. Later, wander back to the beach to participate in the town’s favorite pastime – watching the sunset. Mexico Beach has some of the most beautiful sunsets on the Gulf so get your camera ready!
Things to Do
Places to Eat
Mexico Beach was hit by Hurricane Michael in October 2018, but the town is building back stronger and better than ever! More places to eat will continue to open. There are also plenty of dining options in nearby Port St. Joe.
